Energy Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 banana

  • 135g (½ cup) (4 ⅔ oz) smooth peanut butter

  • 160g (2 cups) (5⅔ oz) jumbo porridge oats

  • 60g (⅓ cup) (2 oz) dark chocolate chips

  • 1 tbsp (0.75 Aus tbsp – 15ml) honey

  • 35g (½ cup) (1⅕ oz) of ground flaxseed/linseed

Instructions:

  1. Mash the banana in a bowl to a smooth texture.

  2. Add the smooth peanut butter, oats, chocolate chips and honey and mix well. 

  3. Pour out the ground flaxseed onto a plate.

  4. Take a small amount of banana mixture and roll into a ball slightly smaller than a golf ball

  5. Roll the ball into the flaxseed/linseed to coat it

  6. Place the balls into the fridge to set

Top Tip

Store the balls in the fridge for 3 to 4 days or freeze for another day

 

Snack

 

Serves: Approx 18 to 20 balls depending on size, 2 small or 1 large is considered a bigger snack
