Chilli Beef Noodles (HC)

Ingredients

  • 60g egg noodles

  • 2 tsp olive oil or sesame oil

  • 100g beef strips

  • ½ red pepper

  • ½ onion

  • 10 pieces mangetout or sugar snap peas

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp ginger powder

  • 1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (or soy sauce) (low sodium)

  • ½ stock beef cube

  • Black pepper (to taste)

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Cook the noodles according to the packet instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. Heat 1 tsp of oil in a wok over medium heat, sear the beef until cooked to your liking. Remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.

  3. Heat 1 tsp of oil in the same wok. Add the red pepper, onion, mangetout, garlic powder, ginger powder and sweet chilli sauce. Sauté the vegetables until they are tender and well-cooked.

  4. Add the cooked beef to the vegetables in the wok. Add the stock cube to a touch of hot water, mix until dissolved. Add the stock to the vegetables / meat and stir in the oyster sauce. Season with black pepper to taste.

  5. Add the cooked noodles to the beef and vegetable mixture in the wok. Stir well until everything is thoroughly combined. Taste test and add more seasoning if required

  6. Serve in a bowl with a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top.
