Airfryer Egg and Cheese Bagel

Ingredients

  • 1 plain bagel

  • Thin spread of butter

  • 30g cheddar cheese, grated

  • 1 egg

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C.

  2. Slice the bagel in half and butter each side.

  3. Place the bottom half of the bagel on a small sheet of baking paper (that will fit into an air fryer).

  4. Top with grated cheese.

  5. Crack an egg into the centre of the bagel.

  6. Put the bagel in the air fryer with the baking paper and cook for around 10 minutes.

  7. Check every few minutes to ensure that the bagel and the egg are cooking to your liking.

  8. After around 8 minutes, add the top of the bagel to the air fryer and allow it to toast.

  9. Once the egg is cooked, take it out and enjoy!

Top Tip

Could add cooked bacon or ham. If unable to use an air fryer, could toast the bagel and fry the egg. Once the bagel is toasted, add the egg, top with cheese and serve. Feel free to serve with additional vegetables or salad ingredients.
