Berry Baked Oats

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter (0.75 Aus tbsp -15ml)

  • 90g (1 cup)(1.5 oz) of oats

  • 9 crushed walnuts

  • 1 egg

  • ½ tsp baking powder (baking soda)

  • Pinch of nutmeg

  • 175ml (¾ cup)(5¼ fl oz) of milk

  • 1 tbsp honey (0.75 Aus tbsp -15ml)

  • Drop of vanilla essence

  • Cup of frozen berries

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven at 180 degrees Celsius (356 Fahrenheit).

  2. Line a small square baking dish with baking parchment paper, grease the baking parchment with the butter.

  3. Add all the dry ingredients to a bowl. In an additional bowl, add all the wet ingredients and whisk.

  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Pop in half the berries, mix.

  5. Pour mixture into a baking dish and scatter remaining berries on top.

  6. Bake for around 45 minutes.

  7. Take out, allow to cool and then slice. Can serve warm or cold, with extra fruit or Greek yoghurt.

  8. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
