One Pan Philly Cheesesteak
Ingredients:
120g sirloin steak, thinly sliced
Pinch of black pepper
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp soy sauce (low-sodium)
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
½ small green pepper, sliced
½ small red pepper, sliced
½ small yellow onion, sliced
50g chestnut mushrooms, sliced
1 garlic clove, minced
30g mozzarella cheese, torn into small pieces (or any cheese)
Instructions:
Add the thinly sliced steak to a small bowl. Season with black pepper, then stir to coat evenly.
Heat a medium frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the olive oil.
Add the seasoned steak slices to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
Add the soy sauce and apple cider vinegar to the pan. Stir to release any brown bits stuck to the bottom.
Add the sliced peppers, onion, mushrooms, and minced garlic to the pan. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender but slightly crisp.
Return the steak to the pan and stir to combine with the vegetables.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the top. Cover the frying pan with a lid and reduce the heat to low. Let the cheese melt for 1-2 minutes.
Remove from heat and serve immediately.
